1. About Google Announced Winter Internship

This is a 20-22 week paid internship that provides personal and professional development as well as community building.

Winter internships will begin in January 2023 and last 22-24 weeks.

You will design, develop, and deploy next-generation consumer hardware as a Hardware Engineering intern. The Consumer Hardware Silicon division (gChips) of Google designs chips (SoCs and ASICs) for Google-branded consumer devices.

Eligibility Criteria

• Currently enrolled in an Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, as well as postsecondary or training experience.
• Knowledge of hardware or electrical engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of design concepts and computer hardware architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SoC/ASIC design, design verification, physical design, and design for testability is preferred.
• Experience coding in Verilog/HDL or System Verilog.
• Knowledge of one of the scripting languages (e.g., PERL, TCL, Python, etc.).
• Extensive knowledge of EDA tools and methodologies such as Lint, CDC, Synthesis, Formal Equivalence, and low power reduction techniques.
• Available to work full-time outside of university terms for a minimum of 6 months.
